2022 UTME: JAMB restates ban on prohibited items, gives instructions on biometric verification

As part of its medications for the 2022 UTME, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has paraphrased its ban on certain particulars which are barred from the venue of its examinations. These particulars, according to the Board, have been noted to have backed campaigners in negotiating examination malpractice. 

 

Instructions on Biometric Verification 

 

 Thus, the ban on these particulars is to cover the saintship of the Board’s examination, especially from the capers of some campaigners and their collaborators. The Board also reiterates her avowed commitment to zero forbearance for examination malpractice adding that any seeker or sanctioned caught with any of these particulars would be properly sanctioned.

Some of the banned particulars are mobile phones, watches, pens/ biro, asset reading spectacles except treated which must be vindicated, calculators or analogous electronic bias, USB, CDs, hard disks and other analogous storehouse bias, books, or any reading/ jotting accoutrements, cameras, reporters, microphones, earpieces, essay/ pen compendiums, smart lens, smart jewelry, smart buttons, BlueTooth bias, crucial holders, ATM cards, erasers, handkerchiefs, face apkins and plutocrat.

Instructions on Biometric Verification 

 

 1. Biometric Verification will be the only mode for the entrance of campaigners into the examination centre. Strict adherence to the companion on mandatory biometric verification of every seeker is needed. 

2. No Seeker should be kept staying if he/ she can not be vindicated. Such a seeker should be reacquired at the centre before leaving. ONLY genuine cases will latterly be treated. 

 

 3. There's no other Attendance Register piecemeal from the biometric verification. Biometric verification will also serve as Attendance Register during examinations. 

4. Photo Compendiums will only carry filmland with no marking points for either Present or Absent status. 

 

 5. All Examination Officers, including the security agents, are to insure compliance with all guidelines, rules, and regulations on the examination.
