State of Akwa-Ibom scholarship for needy kids

 His Excellency, the Education friendly Governor of Akwa Ibom State,Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has approved the Award of literacy to 500( Five Hundred) indigent( veritably poor) but intelligent scholars of Akwa Ibom State origin, studying in Federal or State Universities in Nigeria with effect from the2021/2022 academic session valued at N200( Two Hundred Thousand Naira) only for each pupil, per session. 

 

 

 

 2. The literacy shall be 70( Seventy percent) for undergraduates studying Science and Technology and Thirty percent( 30) for other courses as follows 

 

 Akwa- Ibom State education for penurious scholars 

 wisdom and Technology courses include 

 

 👉🏿 Aviation Studies 

 

 👉🏿 Marine Studies 

 

 👉🏿 drug and Surgery 

 

 👉🏿 drugstore 

 

 👉🏿 Engineering Studies 

 

 👉🏿 Agricultural lores 

 

 👉🏿 Physical lores 

 

 👉🏿 Biological lores 

 

 👉🏿 Mathematics 

 

 👉🏿 Geophysics 

 

 👉🏿 Artificial Intelligence 

 

 👉🏿 Geology 

 

 👉🏿 oil painting and Gas related courses 

 

 👉🏿 Robotic wisdom,etc. 

 

 b. Other Fields of Studies 

 

 👉🏿 Law 

 

 👉🏿 trades/ Humanities/ Management lores 

 

 👉🏿 Education,etc. 

 

 3. ELIGIBILITY FOR THE literacy AWARD 
 

 All aspirants( Physically Challenged inclusive) must be registered, full- time indigent( veritably poor) but intelligent scholars in Federal or State Universities; 

 

 ii. aspirants must be at least in their 2nd time of study; 

 

 iii. All aspirants must have a minimum of3.50 Accretive Grade Points Average( CGPA) on a5.00 scale; 

 

 iv. All aspirants must produce witnesses from their institutions; 

 

 All aspirants must present instrument of origin from their separate Original Government Council in Akwa Ibom State; 

 

 vi. All aspirants must NOT be further than Twenty- five( 25) times of age at the time of operation; 

 

 vii. All aspirants will be anticipated to state the fiscal status/ occupation/ means of livelihood of their Parents, after fulfilling the academic demand; 

 

 viii. All heirs will be anticipated to submit academic results at the end of every session to determine their continued eligibility for the education grounded on their CGPA, which will be vindicated by the Ministry of Education/ State Scholarships Board; 

 

 ix. Any devisee who falls below the needed CGPA of3.50 will be withdrawn from the literacy Scheme; 

 

 Change of course or institution will NOT be allowed while enjoying the literacy.

 4. Suitably good undergraduates are invited to log on towww.moe.akwaibomstate.gov.ng and fill the operation form. 

 

 All shortlisted scholars will be needed to come to the interview with the following documents 

 

 👉🏿 Admission Letter 

 

 👉🏿 Testimonial from the aspirant’s Head of Department 

 

 👉🏿 Current Semester’s Result Statement of Result stating the CGPA 

 

 👉🏿 Birth Certificate/ Age Declaration 

 

 👉🏿 Certificate of Origin from aspirant’s Original Government Council 

 

 👉🏿 Letter stating the fiscal status/ occupation/ means of livelihood of Parents of the aspirant 

 

 👉🏿 Student’s Identity Card 

 

 5. Entry closes one month after the date of this publication
